Bit a Curb, What needs replacement?
Bit a Curb, What needs replacement?
I just bit a curb making a right turn aroung 10-15 mph. The driver's front wheel took the impact, and now it is wobbly. Obviously the point that wobbles inward is the point which hit the curb. I can also feel the annoying wobble through the steering wheel.
I suppose I will have to replace the wheel itself maybe, and maybe a tie rod??
What usually needs replacement in this case?

Re: Bit a Curb, What needs replacement?
no the tie rod is at least still intact... the car steers fine.
after further research, it seems that the lower control arm may be bent. i'll see what happened once i get a chance to look at it out of the snow.
oh, and i'll fix it myself once i figure out whats wrong.

Re: Bit a Curb, What needs replacement?
for anyone who cares or who may benefit from this, it seems that only the rim got bent. i really torqued it on the curb, but after bolting another wheel on there, nothing but the alignment seems awry. it was a stock wheel by the way.
