you think so cause i can get just a cherry bomb glass pack for 25 from autozone and get the tip from a local muffler shop do you think it would sound like crap with just getting a glass pack muffler

a glass pack is not a muffler, its just a pipe filled with fiberglass, so yes, it would sound crappy

Funny, cause this was my exhaust on my first civic back in like 98. It sounds just like all the other exhaust systems. The fact that it is cheap is a plus.

If in fact he has no resonator then yes it will be crap, but with a resonator it should be ok.

dude don't worry about it.... How do you think all the other round exhaust are made? Thats right the same, other than the fact that the cherry bomb is smaller in design. It is closer to a straight pip, but the fact that it has packing and a diffuser inside makes it a muffler or resonator. Put it on paint it black add a tip and you'll be surprised how similar it sounds to everyone else who paid over 200 for a catback. Trust me i did one b4, just cause it doesn't say greedy, hks, or tunabe doesn't mean it is crap or it wont work. All these exhaust have done was put bling on the back of our rides, I know thats not all they are... just putting it in prospective. You can run your car without a muffler, so i don't see how a cherry bomb would cause anything other than save you a few dollars to put towards something else. I may sound like a anti brand ****, but after years of adding after market parts to hundreds of cars, not mine but costumers rides to; I have come to the realization of how things are over priced for what they are. If you are looking for just the sound go for it, and if you want a little look put a tip on it. Now if want the bling sorry and performance of a pricey cat back then by all means go for it. I have to probs with people who have them, I'm just tryin to help out someone who wants to save money.

imo, save up for a better exhaust or even better just get a nice looking rear section axle-back. theres no extra hp from getting the catback.

yeah i decided against it my friend just had the glass pack installed on his car and it sounds like crap
