To start this site has alot of good info, but alot of people on here like to trash on other peoples dreams. Even some moderators trash on people. Which in my opinion isn't cool. I don't post much on here because I don't want people talking s**t to me. I worked at honda for 3 years before joining the military. So I know some stuff. But what gets me is some people just bag on the guys that don't know much or anything at all about the motor in there car.
Just tell the guy thats wanting 300+ hp out of there D17, that it's gonna cost alot of money instead of bagging on them about what they want. Anythings possible...... So i'm gonna end this with have a nice day and keep your opinions to yourself because i didn't ask for them.

Its called flaming the noob, and people seem to think its okay, but its not.

Everyones entitled to have dreams, and even ask questions that have been answered a million times. We were all in the same position earlier when our car/forum knowledge began developing, which is why I'm understanding and am usually the one encouraging people to run with their ideas.

I'll provide a counterpoint to this. And I don't care if you don't want my opinion.

While I completely agree with TRIZ's statement of letting folks try their ideas and helping them figure things out, flaming the noob for "Where can I get headers for my car?" or "How do I remove the rev limiter?" kind of questions is well-deserved. If the site is going to get healthy again, then the members need to be encouraged to do a little work to make it better. This includes educating our newer members on how the site is laid out and letting them know that the information is already here and doesn't need to be created again - just for them. This is accomplished by the search button.

why, exactly, did you post this thread, then?? by starting a thread, you are inviting posts, and therefore debate. it's kinda the point of a forum. we're all here to post up our thoughts and opinions. well, most are. a few are just here to be *******s. if you don't like people posting opinions, possibly you should start a blog, then it will just be your thoughts. be sure to disable comments, tho. you wouldn't want to have to read anyone's opinion on it.
