question about motors

whats up guys, im new in the game with the civic and like most of us POWER is calling me,. lol now i have a 97 civic dx coupe, i finish the bodywork and now i need a motor. my question is this. i call a junk yard in the area and they have a 97 integra motor for $600.00 they didnt specified if it is a b16 or b18 i was hoping to get the answer here. plus if it was a b18 how much boost can i run in the motor stock. and can i also spray nos on the stock motor with boost ? and one more question, can i still use my transmition?.

is 600 too much for the motor?

Re: question about motors

Sorry cant answer that question for you, you need to go look at the motor end get the engine code off of it witch is to the far left next to the tranny facing the radiator. Come back and post the engine code and then we can tell ya what engine it is. BTW nice R1, is it your's?

Re: question about motors

if you want to find great stuff on integra motors search around on
team integra.net but ^^^ I think 10 psi might be pushing it on a stock b18.
and no your transmission will not work d series are not compatable with
B-series you'll have to get the tranny too
