one word for ya, turbo, everything else is minimal, unless ur gonna actually build up the motor internals, ie cam, injectors, stand alone ems, etc, but turbo is much more worth it

You have to pay to play.

I'm not exactly sure what your asking about what else to buy (ie what do you mean by stuff). If you're asking about the order in which to buy than the "stuff" can make a difference.

Nitrous is another option you have which will cost you less than turbo but won't normally make the same amount of power. Start reading up in the Forced Induction forum. There's tons of good info there on both turbo and nitrous.

Re: suggestions?

You can spray the nitrous for as long as you want or until the bottle runs out (10lb bottle is a lot of nitrous). Granted there are certain times when you should spray to keep your motor in one piece. Read up on it if you want, theres way more to it than what's in the movies and I don't feel like typing it out.

Technically even with a turbo you're not boosting all the time but you're pretty much right. Start reading in the Forced Induction forum 99% of the questions you're going to have, have already been answered there.

Re: suggestions?

Both have their pros and cons. In my opinion I actually think it would be "easier" to just run a shot of nitrous if you wanted the ocasional gain in hp. Again it all depends on how much power you want and how you want to spend. Once you know those questions picking between the 2 is much easier.

Re: suggestions?

I can't speak from personal experience but I've heard that you should change your oil more often with you boost. If you have nitrous you'd have to keep getting the bottle refilled. That's all I can think of at the momen, I'm sure there's more things tho.

Your dad would catch on about nitrous but not boosting your car? Sounds iffy to me.

Don't take this the wrong way and again I'm not trying to be mean but there's alot more to turboing a car than just bolting on the turbo. I know you want people's opinions but once you do some research and understand how they both work, you'll be able to make your own decision.

Re: suggestions?

yea well like gettin a turbo on would take time but i have the time when hes workin nd **** like on business trips
so that wouldn't be a problem but nitrous i don't think i could have a place to put the bottle without him noticin.
but like engine wise hes used to the classics
like american muscle so all the new parts hes clueless of what they are and what they do.
all except nitrous.

85gp4 is an unknown quantity at this point
Re: suggestions?

If you're worried about your dad seeing a nitrous bottle in your trunk, just get creative and install a Bazooka bass tube that is designed to look like a NOS bottle on one side of your trunk, and a real NOS bottle on the other side.
Here's what I am talking about
