95 civic LX - HELP!

Hey guys i have a 95 honda civic lx, and recently my car has been making a loud knocking noise.. any idea what this would be? the car has 100000 miles on it

knocking sounds like piston hitting valve... engine light came on recently... where is the sound coming from?

yeah thats what it sounded like to me as well

the sound is coming kind of from the right side of the engine it sounds like
