Question 2000 civic si bogging down at random times

i just got a 2000 honda civic si. i have a cool air intake, headers and full exhaust, for some reason every now and then no matter what RPM i'm at it will bog down like its not getting any gas but as soon as i feather the gas it picks right back up. Sometimes it seems struggle to get going unless i smash the gas to the floor. I tried using fuel injector cleaner 3 times and put dry gas in it and it didn't help it at all. anyone have any idea what the problem could be?

sounds like you have one of 3 problems, eather a fuel filter stoping up, a fuel pump going out, or a converter stoping up. my guess is going to be a fuel pump going bad. have a fuel pressure test run on it.

Check your grounds too - make sure they're not frayed or worn. Just don't short-circuit through yourself.

check your timing. im gonna guess its spark plugs. check your spark plugs, change spark plug wires, check distributor cap. things like that..

well looks like a quick and easy change to Mobil 1 Full synthetic fixed the bogging down lol. that works for me. changed the oil to synthetic and then in about a week or a little more it completely stopped bogging down and hasn't done in since.
