catback or just muffler
im low on cash but want a deep sound NOW.
whats the benefits of having a full catback system over just factory pipes and new muffler. Aside from benefits of cost would a new muffler welded on give me problems if im on automatic transmission?
what type would you reccomend for a more quiet sound that won't disturb the block and i can still listen to music when i please.

Re: catback or just muffler
Larger diameter pipes for better flow. pnp the head for NA, and get a decent header. Get an intake as well. That will do it....Ok well , just dont get a muffler...thats the short answer

Re: catback or just muffler
i have an injen short ram intake already but want a more aggressive sound (not too aggressive)... would the extra pipes be worth it? I just want it for sound...
Re: catback or just muffler
If you just want the added sound without any real performance gain, replacing the muffler is the way to go. Glasspacks will burn out after awhile and actually get louder as time goes on. I had a flowmaster 40 series on my teg and it was ok. They offer different varieties to suit your taste. I'd say... try a 60 Series Delta, quieter but still good, deep sound.... as deep as a NA 4 cyl. can be LOL!
