Buying Civic- would like help

I have my heart set on buying a civic. it is going to be my first car and i would like to know which year and models are better over others. i like the civics because they seem to be good and fairly reliable cars and are relitivley easy to improve upon. If anyone has any advice or anything it would be greatley appreciated.

It really depends on what exactly you're looking for....Just to say civic, isn't really narrowing it down at all. You have to think about weather or not you want to buy new or used. Then you have to think about your finances...are you going to be making payments, or buying outright. I think if you can afford it, get the new 8th generation civic. It's pretty snazzy....I've test driven one a while back. Anyways....One isn't better then the other...they're all good. Think about which body stylin you like....if it's the modifying you're after... there are more parts available for the 6th gen then the 7th. There's a lot to think about when gettin a car. You should test drive some too.
