Has this ever been asked?
I own a 2005 LX and would like to know if anyone with a 7th gen Civic has done a RSX steering wheel swap. If so does anything need to be changed? Is the airbag in a RSX the same as a Civic? If this is possible please let me know. Any and all help/information would be greatly appreciated.
Re: Has this ever been asked?
Hey familycar, it's true I just want to have a different kind of 7th gen in my own way. Would you happen to know if the airbag plugs are the same between the two? Just curious, cause if they are then this swap is a green light.
Re: Has this ever been asked?
Hey bob, looks great, the airbag just plugged right in? BTW can the steering wheel emblem be taken off? Cause on my factory steering wheel I bought a red overlay to cover the black part of the "H" logo, and I kinda want to keep that. Thanks a lot.
Re: Has this ever been asked?
Yes, airbag is plug and play.
I don't think the emblem comes off, at least not easily. It's been a while since I researched this but I believe the SiR Momo wheel and airbag has red stitching and red emblem. When I was looking, they were running $450 vs $250. Just get a new red sticker for $10.

Thanks bob for the help and advice, one last question about it, as Ti asked if you have cruise just uscrew from Honda steering wheel and screw in to RSX steering wheel and it will work fine.
Re: Has this ever been asked?
I bought mine from a member here who had it installed in their Civic. For the CC, you take apart the new CC module thing (for lack of a better word) and put the green card from inside your Civic's module thing into it. There is supposed to be some shaving required, but as I said mine was already installed in a Civic so it was probably already done. Should be pretty self-explanatory.
