hiya guys,

i was about to clean my engine and i noticed that my reservoir was probably 85-90% filled with coolant. bare in my mind that i drove my car and do some errands before i decided to clean my engine. i have to say that the time frame when i shut off my car is about 30 seconds then opening my hood.

i hope someone here can confirm this whether it is normal or not. if ever you guys find it not normal, what would be the consequence of this matter or reasons why this happen.

thanks in advance.

It sounds too high IMO. I used to use the "full" line and check when hot. The level will change depending on outside temps changes. What I have been doing now is using lower level line and check it when cold.

You could try to suction some out of the tank then keep a close eye on the level.

car running for about 45min-1hr. it has a coolant reservoir. it has a closed cooling system. on my temp gauge, it shows that it is normal. below half. about 5 lines from cold.
