What would you spend $3,000 on?
What would you spend $3,000 on?
If you had a stock 06 Si (galaxy gray) and 3 grand to spend on it, what mods would you do first?
I was thinking, decent stereo system, not to much, 1 12in sub (kicker solo), amp(kicker), indash(alpine), dynamat, capacitor, ipod cable.
secruity system (crime guard)
maybe underbody neon kit (red) also 2 tubes for under dash. (street glow)
cordless radar dectector (whistler)
tinted windows (kartunes, a local shop here in Milwuakee)
maybe spend a lil more and get wheels and tires for summer. (something from tirerack)
some lowering springs (H and R?)
AEM intake, DC header, whats a good exhaust?

boost for 3k? yea right, not to mention all the other mods you will want/need after that.
i say, before upgrading the sound system, get sound dampening throughout the car: it will make the ride so much better (less road/wind noise) and make your stock sound system sound at least twice as good. then, wheels/tires/suspension. if you have money left over, then tint the windows, maybe an intake, and/or exhaust.

FULL Suspension ($2,000), Window Tint ($200), Exhaust ($500), Header or AEM Intake or both if you’re a good shopper ($300) Having a clean a$s ride after this (priceless)
Even though wheels and tires are important to me but the SI comes with decent wheels (I think) but maybe not tires. But this is just my $0.02 cents.

Yeah here in Texas I can get window tints for the same price or cheaper. But the thing is, like I do with every mod is do my research. With window tint I found a company that has been around for a while (so you know that they will be around in the next 10 years) and offered a lifetime warranty on there service. Plus I have heard what other consumer says and the experience with the company (which is very important).
The window tint was the first mod I did to my civic back in 2001 and six years later no bubbles (and even in the Texas heat). Yeah I might have paid more but I know I got my moneys worth and the company is still in business incase I do need them. All I'm saying is that you get what you pay for it.

hahhaah when i live in WPB i got my wife civic tinted for 50 bucks..its soo cheap down there but when i move up here it cost sooo much..i got a quote of 180 for tint rear windows and the side window..not the driver/passenger windows[its illegal to get it done]..

Window tint? Really??!!
I vote for an audio system if it's a daily driver. You'll likely spend more time listening to tunes in the car than anywhere else especially if you have a job with a long commute.

Full coilover suspension /w adjustable damper. After that, save that money for decent set of rims and tires or you might have enough money to buy rims and tires depending on how much you spent on the suspension.
I did the same thing with my car. I did the cheaper mods first. I started out with a deck (installed 2 days after getting the car home from the dealership), then sub, and amp. After that intake, strut bar, then rims. Last thing I did was suspension. I really regret doing the suspension last, because I'm having more fun driving my car around with better suspension.
It all really comes down to what you want out of the car.
