Honda Mechanic or regular mechanic for your Civic

Im not sure about other cities in the world but In Sydney Honda mechanics or so bloody expensive. To be honest I couldn't tell the difference with the service Except I hope that the Honda guys should know more about my civic.

Should I try non Honda mechanics out there?

NOT if the vehicle is new but if out of warranty then give it a shot but remember its always best to go with a mechanic who knows how to do the job! not BS his way through then charging you a fortune in return.

Ok for example...

the Honda Mechanic charges $245 to change the rear brake pads...The mechanic down the road charges $150 for the same thing.
