Putting an SI spoiler on the EX

Does anyone know if it's possible to put the 2006 SI's Spoiler on the 2006 EX? The Service Manager told me he didn't know and didn't seem interested in finding out foe me.

Yeah, search on ebay you can buy a spoiler from there and it should have all the tools you need to do it, I think its just 4 bolts from the trunk.

The cars are the same width I assume, in which case it would fit fine, try and find the exact matching color if thats possible (not sure if it is) otherwise just paint it

i've already posted this ina thread called something like clone si or something like that.. the only thing that would stop a person from doing this is if they already have a lip style spoiler.. because theere are already holes in the trunk for this spoiler.. otherwise, i have a subaru impreza rs and it came wingless but i purchased a carbon fiber version 8 style sti wing that i s styled like the jdm.. it was a 2 man job because it is so large but the si spoiler could be a one man thing.. it's not that hard.. just remember, measure twice, drill once

A few things about this: you will need to swap out the entire trunk assembly if you are getting the OEM Si spoiler. The reason being is that the spoiler weighs more and there are reinforced springs inside the Si trunk for the auto trunk release (so it doesn't just close on itself). There is a few people on 8thcivic.com forums who have done this.

If you are purchasing an aftermarket look-alike off of eBay or something, to make it look right you would have to remove the lip spoiler, exposing holes that would need to be filled, painted, etc.

Thinking about both

I'm now thinking about just leaving on the lip spoiler and putting on the SI spoiler. I found someone who did this on CARDOMIAN and it looks tight.

Also keep in mind that if you get an original OEM Si spoiler, you will have 2 third brake lights. I've seen the same car on Cardomain that you speak of and am not quite sure if I like it or not. One day I do, the next day I don't.

And people wonder why everyone is over at 8thgencivic.com forums instead of this one.

If you want to put both spoilers on your car, feel free to do so, you're the one that's driving it, not anybody else.

I agree, its your car, you paid for it, you do what you want.
If you want to put a BMW badge on it, well by all means do it... but putting a spoiler on a car is by no means strange or "rice" so I dont get why people are giving him a hard time.

One spoiler on your car isnt rice...
Two spoilers on your car...not so much.

Please do what ever you wish to your car. The car parts aftermarket wouldnt be as big as it is if everyone drove stock. I just think he missed the point that the SI spoiler was too heavy for the stock deck springs and would fall as soon as you let go of it. Functionality first my friend.

Since the lip spoiler is so subtle anyways it won't look bad at all or make much of a difference. Look

That's with both spoilers on it. Looks fine to me.

Is that photoshop? It doesnt look bad in that photo. Then Id only be concerned with the weight issue.
