Talking Favorite thing about the EP3

I don't own an EP3, but had a memorable test drive awhile back and wanted to post this. What is your favorite aspect of the EP3?

I think the dash mounted shifter is just plain awsome...hope Honda considers keeping this part in the next Si.

The shifter and I like the stock fabric/seats, a lot.
I hope they do, too. Are you getting one?

There's actually a black 04 with a k20a 6spd 213 horsepower N/A.

When I bought my car, I fell in love with the seats & the shifter first.

I then fell in love with the engine!

My other car was a 98 civic sedan.

No i won't be getting an EP3 any time soon. I have an 02 civic so it's pretty new. I might be trading in for an 8thgen civic if i like it, but most likely i'll be moving up into a lux/sports car.

Weeks/MONTHS even....

I had an 02 EM2 (NBP Coupe EX)....

I have been a member of a local EP3 car club for quite some time...with my EM2....and had been pondering getting an EP3 for a while...but...

When I took the EM2 in to get the headlights fixed, I got a wild hair up my *** to test drive an 04 EP3....and fell in love INSTANTLY.

I loved (in order):

The Seats (Kept my fat *** from sliding around)
The Stearing wheel (MUCH better, being that it's smaller, for AutoX)
The Shifter.....it's just PIMP
The MOTOR (Never had a lack of torque, compared to my old EM2)
The HFP body kit (saw it in a picture, had to have it)

It took 1 week and the deal was done, traded in the EM2, got the EP3 + HFP body kit/spoiler....and I've LOVED my EP3 ever since.

I get SOOO many compliments on the body kit, and how "COOL because it's RARE" my car is....I LOVE that too...

i know one thing, when someone new is looking at my car, i just stand back and wait. i think you know what i mean.

i let them walk around it, they usually dont say much. they keep looking over it, their eyes making their way to the interior. looking around the interior, their eyes stop at the site of the shifter. i can tell thats what theyre looking at due to the puzzled look on their face. i then wait for it....wait for it.... here it comes.... they look up and say, "Whats up with the shifter?"

I smile, chuckle, and say "I knew that was coming."

I go on to explain how its natural since its closer to the wheel than floor mounted shifters and how it is actally better since it takes less overall time to shift, etc. etc.

I then say that, in my opinion, its just a sales hype. and that im not real big on it, which im not.

i dont necessarily like any one particular part of my car. some of the +'s are:

-Comfortable/convenient shifter
-comfortable seats
-an engine with eough power and torque to be adequate and still be able to have fun
-the spaciousness of the hatch

some of the downsides are

-the steering wheel(three spoke) it may look "cooler" and more "race inspired", but id rather have the 4 spoker i had in my 01 Coupe.
-the seats, theyre designed for the average american. thats great, but im about 50-70 lbs lighter than the average american, thus, i slide all around in the seats
-the A3 stamped on the engine block, should just be A, lol
-the stock michelins, its not so bad that theyre 15's, its just the tire model they chose
-the tranny, not the pride of the Honda trans line-up
-McPherson Struts up front

the rest of my gripes are little things, so i wont put them down on the list.
