Unhappy Replacing the Stock Stereo

Has anyone taken the radio out of a 2002 SI? I dont want to mess up the cosole since the "silver " scratches easy. I've taken off the trim around the shifter with no problems but the larger trim around the radio seem to not budge.

Thumbs up

Thanks for the steps on replacing the stereo. I got the stereo out and installed the FM Modulator for my XM radio. Awesome having so many good radio stations. I might have to install a cd changer next.

If you get a changer it will fit nice under the passenger side seat. Just put some velcrow on the feet ot it and you are set.
