Rep Power: 0 getting on the road again
hey everyone. its come about that time to get my dad's old 1986 honda civic crx si back on the road. its been sitting for around 5 years in a carport with a cover, and ran perfectly fine when it was parked. i know its going to need a new battery, tires, and fluids replaced. what else should i do? i have done work on cars before, but not without knowing what was wrong first. what other things on it should i check out to make sure shes running perfectly again?

Welcome!
I would replace the battery, fuel and oil/filter then see if she starts. If it doesn't start then you can start troubleshooting from there (check for fuel and spark). I would also inspect the air box for any animals.
