Windshield wiper types/quality
Windshield wiper types/quality
So there are new types of windshield wipers around that are curved to fit the windshield and don't have the metal bracketing... has anyone tried these? Are they any better than the older types?
Also, thoughts on Rain-X and other wiper additives?

Re: Windshield wiper types/quality
I use rain-x wipers. I have used anco which are the cheap ones and they don't last as long as the rain-x.
They both removed the water off my windshield equally well.

Sure seems like rubber wiper inserts were only designed to last about a year or two, tops.

I've had a pair of Rain-X Latitudes on my car for a few years going. Still work great
Re: Windshield wiper types/quality
I use Rain-x latitudes and they last for about 2 years in a rainy town (Portland OR). They wipe clean usually but they aren't perfect and are kind of spendy. I don't like change so I'm staying with them for now. I use their debugger/deicer/rain-x windshield washer fluid too.

I think the wipers on my truck might be about 8 years old........but it hasn't seen rain once in that time.
