1998 Honda Civic Engine Light

Hello,
I have a 1998 Honda Civic Ex with a problem that has occurred once before. the first time my car got "Sick" was about a month ago when the car would be shaking, and turned off on me when the idle was really low along with it was losing power when accelerating. The way it had gotten fixed was by replacing the rotor inside the distributor & the cap (it had a small crack underneath it) and also changing the spark plug wires. After all of that was replaced it worked fantastic and now i've been dealing with the same issues besides the fact that the sparkplugs and spark plug wires are prefect, the oil has been changed & filter and gave it fuel injector cleaner, nothing is cracked or broken, everything looks great battery is new also. The car looses power accelerating and has to be in the really high RPM's to hit 60MPH and it shakes at a stop but the idle is where it needs to be. the check engine light turned on the day it began to act this way. I am Running out of ideas and i cant really come up with anymore ideas to this.. Please if anyone can help me...
Thank You...

When your check engine light comes on just go get it scanned with an OBD II reader. It'll tell you right away what's causing the light to come on.

I just scanned a 2004 Civic for a friend and it told me the (bank 1 sensor 1) O2 sensor had failed, took 10 seconds to diagnose. It'll save you alot of money in the long run by not buying parts you may not need.
