So im kind of confused here and was wondering if someone can point me in the right direction. A while ago my 02 auto EX just gave out on me. I was at a light and when it was time for me to go, my car wouldnt move at all. Like it was in nuetral! D,R,3, and 2. nothing made it move! Could this be my transmission or a service belt? Much help needed. Thanks.

Well if it was a timing belt your motor would be f*cked. You should be able to see your belts if you just look. Is there any kinda grinding noise coming from the car? need more info.

no. it starts just fine just wont go into any gear and any gear i put it in, its as if it were in nuetral. wont move.

just buy a used auto tranny. You can probably buy one for around $150-200

theres a pin that keeps it in place on the linkage when u put it in gear can u feel it tryin to change gears at all theres also a sensor there that goes out

Just search ebay and craigslist man. Some times if just cheaper if you buy the engine and tranny together.

Killzone bought a newer lx engine with tranny with 60k on it for $250 shipped.

These engines are so disposable, its just cheaper to buy a newer used one then to rebuild them.

wow thats a good price. on ebay the transmission are around $800 and up. seems pretty pricy if you ask me. Does the LX have the vtech engine?

Only the EX and Si have Vtec. The DX/LX do not have Vtec.
