PCV Valve?
PCV Valve?
So i'm a total newb, With limited knowledge about the ways off the world, ya I get it... anyways I've read a little about the PCV Valve and have know idea what it is and where it is at. Can anyone help a newb out?
Re: PCV Valve?
A PCV stands for positive crankcase ventalation. It basically recirculates blowby that gets in to your engine from combustion. After that it is taken out by you manifold so pressures dont get too high in there. That is when you start to get gaskets blowing out. Like oil pans and valve cover gaskets.
Changing it on our cars is easy, jack your car up and on the bottom of your block you will see a "C" looking hose with one end connected to a round black thing. Take off the hose and remove the PVC valve and replace it. You should replace em with every tune up. I am sorry that my description of where it is, is bad but I changed mine awhile ago and cant remember much more then that.

Re: PCV Valve?
Just ordered the part from honda ($18) and got a diagram, which showed it to be on the upper right corner of the intake manifold. Comes in thursday, will take pics during install. Oh and its an 2dr EK.
