Hey guys, I was wondering. What type of cleaning chemical should I buy to clean my Filter of my Intake. I have an AEM Short Ram Air Intake. Any suggestions? Thx

get the right one. aem sells two, one for gauze and one for their new paper line. foam is different as well. um filters should be fine after cleaning unless its really beat up.

if you want good filtering, get aem dryflow. K&N flows a bit better at the expense of filtering efficiency. Weapon-R SW1 flows better and filters better than both (its a foam filter with flow bench design).

haha. SW1 only comes in 3 inch and 4 inch. K&N comes in more sizes, as does aem. the dryflow comes in 0.5inch increments.

good idea to clean the filter from the inside out..when you rinse go from the inside. that way you arent pushing dirt, etc into the filter media.

from my knowledge (back in hs 3 yrs ago) AEM uses K&N cone filters, could have changed...so appologize
but if so idk which is cheaper but you can use the K&N cleaning kit

yall might want to check out http://www.racingsportsakimoto.com/ FR IV filter and for yall you like the custom work, take a look at the spiral flex
