I have been running 5w-20 royal purple for a year and a half now in my coupe. It helps, but not a big help. It is smoother, and yes better for the engine, but it will not do to our cars what it does to other larger engines.

Royal Purple also has one of quickest dropping TBN's I have EVER seen in an oil. It is ment for racing, so it works very well, but is not ment to to stay in your engine very long. Ask anybody who has done studies on this oil, they will tell you it's a 2000 mile oil, maybe 3000 mile. But it is really deisnged for drag cars, and high end track cars. Remember track cars only go 500 miles between complete engine rebuilds, so oil life is not an issue.
