how often to change the injen cold air filter

i bought a recharge kit and i know those filters last a while but how long should i wait til i change it out or clean it?
its been through winter and whatnot as well

I think he is saying to clean it every 5k. When it looks dirty, clean it. The more often you clean it, the sooner you will have to replace it. They usually last a long time.

i have the recharge kit but i dont know if i have the time to let the filter air dry for 24 hrs or whatever it requires

anyone know the inlet of the injen cai so i can get a new f&n filter?

5K is way overkill and will actually reduce the performance of the filter. Up that to 15K or 20K, minimum. Oiled filters always perform better when they have a little dirt on them, as backwards as that sounds.

the K&N recharge states how many miles you should clean it. it varies as well... theres cone filters and drop in filters.

if i can remember, i think its every 50k miles as the trapped dirt can protect more elements comming thru the fitler than none at all..

I haven't cleaned mine (injen cai) for like...almost 40k miles now haha

clean it every 50k with a cleaner kit. If you do it too often, it doesn't filter dirt as well. Better if its dirty.
