2004 Honda Civic Transmission Dip Stick
2004 Honda Civic Transmission Dip Stick
I have a Honda Civic DX. I went to check the transmission fluid and the dipstick was just setting there. It would not get tight after I pushed it all the way in. What caused it to be loose? I noticed there was oil next to the hole and on the transmission. Can I purchase one some where other than the dealer?

This thread has pictures and part numbers, and explains the issue and the new part is slightly different: https://www.civicforums.com/forums/3...not-tight.html
$11 USD or so at any reputable dealer and it will be the new version.
Don't bother trying aftermarket.
