October Fastrack

Looks like some shakeups in GS and HS per the Oct fastrack:

Base RSX, TSX, Civic Si >H stock

Cobalt SS, Ion Redline, SRT-4 >G stock

Depending on outcome at nationals, Cooper S and/or Celica GT may go to DS. I think the MCS is probably good competition even in DS but I really doubt the Celica would have a chance.

Maybe the base RSX has a shot at an HS cooper on a power course, but it seems like it's gonna need at good 225 in front to get it done. And the Si is just stuck with that small rear bar.

Doesn't the TSX have SLA front suspension? I wonder if that might be the "New 89 Si"?

hm... Should make things interesting in G-Stock... (allways thought the SRT-4 was over rated...) The SS and Redline may have good power, but they have a crappy rear suspension... Tortion beam? come on GM, get with the 80's at least.

for H-Stock.... it will be a very interesting season....

Yeah, I was working the course while an SRT-4 was running and it's so narrow and tall, lots of body roll, skinny rims...

Too bad they didn't move the MP3 down to HS, seems like a good MC alternative but maybe there's too few of them around to make them "the car to have" for the class. I really do hope some of the base RSXs give the coopers a run for their money.

I'm way off base on the TSX, I figured it was probably too heavy to be any threat to the light HS cars, but 3200lbs? Sheesh. Too bad, good suspension & good engine. Might be a fun car to try if you had one anyway, but who's gonna buy one just to beat up on it??
