open tracking is cool

So we went to gingerman raceway last night for one last test and tune before winter sets in. it was my first time on a road corse and that is like the coolest thing since sliced bread. i found out the hard way that with my setup trail braking in a sweeper is a bad idea. oh and when we showed up there was some guy that had flown in on his helicoptor to 'test' an enzo ferrari. that is the most beautiful machine i have ever seen tearing around the track. there was also the new 440 (i think) modena and a new Masarati (sp?) that the guy was checking out.

damn... Ferraris. I hope to be some insanely rich guy some day....
I drove it over the summer, the biggest pain in the *** was the double apex climing the hill (turn 5 I think)... I never did get it right all day.
Kinda sucks having no horsepower for the 1/4 mile straight aways doesn't it?

I didn't think 2 was bad, the car got a little squirly if you went into it too fast, but I don't remember having to brake to get into the entrance of it. Maybe I slowed down enough for 1 that I didn't need to. I can't remember how fast I got going... it was around 91 or 92 by the end of the day.

yeah i wish i could have been going a little faster through the straight but i only got like 10-12 runs in. and after the first couple of runs it started getting dark so my runs got worse and worse as we went because it's very hard to see the track at dusk. just wondering were you in 3rd most of the time??? i kept down shifting and then half way through the cornor i would be on the rev limiter.

I did 3rd most of the time, made it into 4th on both straights... I hit 2nd at the start of the front straight, and sometimes in turn 7.
