which wheels to RACE on??

I have 5zigen Fno1r-c 15x-7, right now. I'm planning on getting a set of Rota Slipstreams 15x7.

I'm wondering which wheels i should road race/autoX with. The 5zigen's are about 14 lbs(i think) and the rota's are 12 lbs(i think).

are the strength the same on these two wheels?

They are both pretty tough and I believe both are race tested....

I konw the only reason Rota made the Slipstreams in 15X7 was because the autocrossers/road racers wanted it.

I'd run the lighter of the two, thats 2 LBS less rotating mass (on each whees) and unsprung weight.

Which ever one you don't care if it gets trashed. The likelyhood of a 15" wheel getting smashed by a pothole is pretty low, but track curbs, on and off, and idiots running tire and balancing machines are a lot more common.

Zzyzx has a point that 2 lbs is 2 lbs, but you can also pick the ones you don't care that get trashed.

I'd say go with whichever wheel is cheaper, since the likely hood of damage to a wheel is fairly high.

^^ I agree. The one that has less value to you or your wallet. Will the race wheel be the same as the daily driver?
