Hey all, been researching alot on here after buying my 98 Civic EX a few months ago. Looks like someone started a project then gave up. Its been converted to a manual, new paint and 17" rims, which rub in the front like hell, but they look good! She ran good till a couple weeks ago. Overheated, blew the upper radiator hose and warped the head. So I have it torn apart right now, head just got milled, debating on doing the valve seals myself or paying the $125 labor to have them do it. Havent researched the difficulty yet. Im doing all of this myself for the first time thanks to all of you and your info on here, really saved me alot of money. Im replacing every gasket, seal, ARP Bolts, water pump, and thermostat. Timing belt looks clean. Waiting on the gaskets to come in through Honda to put this baby back together! Hopefully all goes well. After doing all this Im feeling the "itch" for some ugrades, we'll see how this goes first. Thanks again everybody, dont know how much this woulda costed me!
Have her on my profile, cant figure out how to add a pic, Im on my phone

I'm usually on my phone also. It's a pain sometimes.
You have to use an image hosting site like photobucket or image shack. They give you a number that you text your pics to which adds them to your online album. Then you log into your account and get the IMG code. I use photobucket.

my goodness. You certainly have your work cut out for you. For starters, with the condition of those cylinder walls, dunno if a simple deglazing will do the trick. You may need to bore it out a little bit. Looks like there may be some pitting rust.
Nevertheless, welcome to the site, and kudos to you for joining up and sharing what you got so far. Definitely don't be a stranger to the forums!
