New to the Community!
Hello all,
I've been an avid Honda fan for years now, beginning with an 07 Coupe during college and just recently leased at 2013 Civic Sedan EX-L w/out Nav (my iphone works so much better IMO).
Some may say leasing isn't worth it but after doing the math, the residual after the lease would be just as if I were making payments on it throughout the lease anyway. Let's hope the interest rates remain low in three years. I purchased a Sedan due to my little girl about to be born in just a few weeks.
Looking forward to learning from you all and hopefully contributing to this community!

Hello,
I just traded in my 2011 Accord EX-L for a 2013 Civic EX-L. The accord got terrible gas mileage, even though it was a 2.4l engine. I'm loving the little Civic.
Question regarding audio - sorry if this is wrong thread:
Does the 2013 Civic EX-L have the ANC Mic built into the audio system?
My accord did. So, after-market speaker replacement was out of the question. They sounded terrible; had to take them out. What a waste of time and money!
I would like to replace the small rear speakers with rear 6 by 9s I got from a 2007 Honda Accord - they are made of the same material and are the same sensitivity, as far as efficiency with power. I just want to make sure the ANC mic is not available for this civic. Everything I've googled seems to point to no. Does anyone know if that is true?
I'm just looking for a little more low-end on the sound scale for overall sound - fronts are fine...

A noise-canceling microphone is a microphone that is designed to filter ambient noise from the desired sound, which is especially useful in noisy environments. Typically, a Honda with a sub-woofer will have this because it's the low-end highway noise it tries to cancel out. My civic does not have a sub.

Ok...
EDIT: ANC is not used in Civics.
Replace speakers as you wish.

Trust me, the 2.4 liter 2011 Honda Accord had the ANC. I replaced the speakers in it and it was horrible. After researching a bit, I ran across a forum where a guy had to disable it, 2 Mics - front and rear - messed up his bluetooth, because his sub was making a low hum at 60 Hz constantly. I think all Hondas with Subs have this ANC Mic. Thanks for the input... appreciated!
