Hello again! I posted a couple years ago as MellotronG when I was touting the pleasures of owning a solid reliable '88 HB. About a year ago, I smacked in the back end of the car into a Ford F150. No damage to the truck at all, but the entire back end was smashed in and it would have cost way more to fix it than to just find a comparable car...around these parts of NE Oregon, they pop up from time to time in the $2,000 range..which is what I bought my '88 for nearly ten years ago.

Lo' and behind, I found a '91 5-speed last November near Baker City. Yep, a five-speed manual! I forgot what kind of car the seller got the transmission from, but it had a new clutch and all...and took it for a test drive. fantastic running car. It get's 45 mpg, and moves fast and climbs hills like a champ. Runs perfect. Happiness.
