Hello from the ATX
Hello from the ATX
Well, my first car was a 5 speed 98 honda civic dx. Learned to drive it and standard in the bay area and the streets of San Francisco. Long story short someone tboned me running a red light (they did) about 3 years ago. Ended up buying a 92 geo storm for $600 bucks and dogged it like no other, but it was no honda
Moved to Austin TX after a long trip in guatemala and mexico (no one steals storms, people do however steal hondas).
Going back to my roots, just bought my uncles 97 hatchback for $2000 (wedding present for him kinda, even though I feel it was a good deal considering he bought it new in 97 from honda of oakland) Brother drove it out here, and thats why I'm here. No real questions yet, just wanted to introduce myself.
Fixed the high mount brake light today (burnt bulb and wiring problem), adjusted the clutch back to stock (was pushing damn near to the bottom of the floor before doing anything), and cleaned the headlights with some toothpaste haha
Not really interested in any modifications except for some anti-theft stuff, would like to just restore this car to its original "luster" for a minimal amount of money with no intentions on ever selling it.
Already got the pizza delivery car (the storm), the road trip mobile (the nissan), and this will 100% be my reliable mexico mobile. I have broken down in the storm too many times to count (CA * 2, AZ, TX, & Tamaulipas MX) and don't trust it farther than I can throw it, even though it runs great now.
Cheers!
