18 year old newb here, try'in to learn all i can b4 i drive/mod the em2 sitting in the garage. So i been saving up moneys 'er since high schools, got 'bout 1.2k what should i mod first? or should i save fo duh gas. hmmm..

but yea, suspension like a ****.. And depending on how you mod suspension, it'll be for either.
If you're going strictly performance oriented suspension, it's not gonna be quite a smooth ride. You'd be more likely to feel everything in the road, but it'll help navigate curves a lot better. For $100, you can get yourself a good strut bar and it'll help a bunch. I didn't notice the difference until I took it off. Biggest thing I noticed was a lack of steering response. If you can find one, the neuspeed strut bar is a great one. Stick to more one-piece designs as opposed to eBay 3-piece designs.
A good starter suspension setup (slightly lower stance, a bit stiffer) is tokico hp (blues) shocks with tein s-tech springs. That was my first setup and I was quite content with it. Drops your car just shy of 1.5" and gives you a better handle on the road.
