My first car - 2006 Civic !

So i finally did it and got my first car! A used 2006 Honda Civic LX sedan with 58,000 for $10,000. (any feedback on my purchase would be appreciated) The car is black with tan interior and is very clean ! I am the second owner of this car which makes it all the better !

p.s. I am looking into getting new lights and does any body have any feedback on the halo or led lights? What one do you think is better? And why? Thanks!!!! (Me being 19 this a huge purchase for me)

Welcome to the site and congrats on buying your first car!

Those headlights are decent, quite a few people from here have them, the only common complaint is that the light output is poor.

So do you recommend me stick with the original lights?

Since it's your first car and your probably not a very experienced driver, I would recommend not sacrificing light output for cosmetics. Once your a more experienced driver you can compensate for the limited vision at night a bit better.

There are many other small inexpensive mods you can do if that's what attracted you to the headlights.

I have been driving since i was 16 but always drove my fathers car around which is a 2003 Toyota 4runner so this a complete transition for me and i just wanted to work on my car in a inexpensive way like you mentioned, anything you recommend?

The best thing you can do is take it slow when you first get a new car and want to mod it, that way you pin point the things you want to change most before making changes.

Order some led bulbs, there's an entire discussion thread on led bulbs that might give you some ideas.

Get creative with plasti dip paint, lots of people like doing wheels and grills with it.

Every time I get a car, I always start noticing everything about it shortly after driving it for awhile. You will want to drive it around long enough to get a feel for the things you want to change first like he said. Just keep a list and start building and then weigh the pros and cons of each mod and the priority you would like to lay on down for it.
