I'm new to these forums so please bear with me. We have two Civics in the family and we enjoy them very much. However, one has been acting up lately, stalling a lot. It started when we changed the alternator, which we'd bought at Kragen. One mechanic said the car was overcharging, and the Honda dealer said the alternator and control module were bad. The mechanic where I'd bought the car changed both but the problem remains. Anyone out there have any suggestions or advice?
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for responding to our post. The Civic in question is a 2001 EX, 1.7 litre, 4 cylinder, V-tec. Symptoms: just prior to the car stalling, the dash warning lights flash on - the SRS, battery, etc. Everything except the "check engine" light.
Oh, and we're in Canoga Park, CA.
Again, any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Im wondering if your CEL is/was actually on, but the bulb is out... plug a code scanner in and confirm.
Other then that, I'd check all the fuses first off.
I'm not famil with Kragen, we dont have those out/up here. We do have an auto parts store called Autozone and they will test your alternator. I would do that. As for the control module, I'm not famil with that and its working, but what told them that it was bad if they couldnt read any codes. Did they do any diagnostics and if so, exactly what?
