I acquired 1999 Honda Civic HX 5 MT last month with VTEC-E (economy) engine with intention to save gas in mind. So far I am able to achieve 53 MPG (using hypermiling techniques). I am not looking for ways to beef up my Civic into "racing mode" or anything like that.

Now my question is --:
How do I determine that I got VTEC-E engine?
How do I ensure that VTEC-E is working properly?
How do I know if I got VTEC-E ECU or not?
Is there any manual specifically for VTEC-E on Civic HX that I can follow up with?
