Hello everyone! I just registered a few days ago after lurking around for a week...already I've gotten a ton of great info from this site.
I just bought an '03 EX coupe about two weeks ago and I've already fallen in love with this car. Strangely enough, I used to be a total anti-Honda person. five or six years ago I had an Eclipse GSX that I tuned up a bit for drag racing and I would consistently eat every other car in town alive. Keep in mind that this was in a small town where 99% of the population considered a Civic race-ready as soon as it had Altezza tail lights and a giant muffler from Autozone. These were the toolsheds that would always try to race me. and the consistent humiliation of ricer Hondas kind of left a bad taste in my mouth about the brand.
Now I'm a bit older, I've been through the hassle of having my license suspended and I've seen enough street-racing accidents that I think I've calmed down a bit. I was driving an old beater car up until I bought my Civic, and now I've been bitten by the rice bug once again.
So I have a few ideas in store, mostly cosmetic. I'm through racing but I still love the look of a tastefully put together import. I'm not sweating the timeline because in this economy I'm lucky that I have enough money to eat, but I'm slowly putting things together. In a few months my car will definitely stand out.
I've already done the basics...tune-up, detailing the engine bay, tint job, some interior work...I think the next thing I'm shooting for is the Weapon R SRI that everyone seems to like.
