Hi everyone
Hi everyone
First off; I'm a girl. So please bear with me. I have a 1999 Honda Civic {6th generation?, sorry but I didn't know where else to go}. Recently my little Honda wanted to overheat, with the addition of coolant to the radiator {yes, I thought water was sufficient, please don't hold this against me, I'm learning} and a new radiator cap I was able to get to work until I finally had a day off. The Internet promised me I could change my own thermostat {which also strongly hinted was the cause of overheat} I went to a parts place and purchased tools, thermostat, gasket and lube. Long story short {too late} the car was severely worse; took to mechanic. He changed thermostat {stated it was correct it was bad thermostat} and the car is great. Because of my poor maintenance I ended up paying double what I should and I've learned my lesson. I want to keep my car in tip top shape. Therefore Hi everyone...
Re: Hi everyone
Lol what is it with ladies running their poor cars into the ground?! My girlfriend just ended up paying 1,000 to fix her brakes cause she basically had been driving w/o pads for 2,000miles!
Re: Hi everyone
My 1999 Honda Civic has a grinding noice comming from around the A/C compressor and the drive pulleys. What can be the problem? Does anyone has an idea what may be causing that noice? Last edited by mostro; Jan 14, 2008 at 06:06 PM.

Re: Hi everyone
Nobodys going to check this - you need to make a new thread in the proper section- either 1-5th gen or mechanical issues subforum. OR, you could post in the introductions section and introduce yourself and your car, and also your problem.
