Wanted to join since I'm contemplating getting a 2005 Si (manual) versus a 07 dx-g automatic.

So thought I'd check the info out here and people's thoughts on the new cars.

Already own a '97 coupe-dx 200,000+ on it and lovin' it, but I want a 4-door now.

Re: new here

Thanks Triz, so you'd choose the 2005 over a 2007?
The DX-G was pretty damn fast (even in automatic )

Re: new here

He's right, I'd go ep over em (for power reasons) any day. Just need a head and turbo and you're good for 400+whp all day on the stock motor. Welcome to the forum.

Re: new here

Well the thing is, I'm not too hungry for speed, sounds crazy I know.
But I turned 25 and my rates dropped and to be honest, deep down inside, I am a speed junkie.
So I want to avoid it, b/c I know I'll use it.
I just wanted to know if there was anything better about the 05 versus an 07.
Besides the speed, I'm torn on body design really.
I do like the 05 more, but the 07 is starting to grow on me now.

Plus after reading some reviews the 07's hand brake placement apparently is annoying if you like to rest your gas leg against the center/center (Canadian spelling) console.

So ya, there you go, torn...
