New here and to Imports

Hello,my names Ryan and Im from Ohio. Right now I drive a 97 Grand Am. I have some things done to it but hitting a brick wall with it when it comes to getting bolt on motor parts. The reason I registered here is to get some insight on where I should start.

My plans are to find a 96-98 Civic. I have no clue which motor to look for on these years,as far which model has the best motor to build on. Off the bat Im not looking to do a motor swap. I want to go NA for a while then go boost. I will be going for the clean look. JDM lip kit,lowered,17inch racing wheels,no spoiler, tinted tails and eye lids for starters. The rest will be all motor work.

I just need some info on which motor should I look for in the 96-98 years. Any help would be appreciated!

B series are always fun...

Try auto trader for a "shell" if that’s what you want...

Or just try and find a good civic on auto trader with an aftermarket engine already

There a dime a dozen on auto trader.

Be sure and do your research though.

Good luck!

Welcome Ryan. You can always build a 99-00 si or ex. Both would be good platforms for boost.
