i think first consideration would be your price range, then what you intend on doing to/with it. Civic's a good car, just don't expect it to be fast without dropping a lot of cash on it. a solid turbo setup will run you around 4 grand after it's all said and done, and 7k+ for a kswap.

Do your research, and decide what you want from the car. I you want to be able to keep up with WRXs and Evos, you're looking in the wrong place. These cars can be made fast, for A LOT of money. If you're looking for a car that reliable as hell, and capable of getting 39 MPG on the highway, then you've found your car. The other thing about these cars, at least the 01-03 7th gens is the number of parts available. For the most part, you can get just about anything for them, except a supercharger, and some other big ticket engine mods. If you do decide to get one, check the FS forum, there are usually a few of these for sale on here, and for the most part, despite the flaming, most on here are decent people.
