Rep Power: 304 JUNE 22 1st. NATIONAL 7thGENCIVIC MEET/SHOW
YES we had set up a day for this meet.
Saturday June 22 in Orlando Florida
We'll like to extend the invitation to all peeps from out of town
to participate.
I know it may be to far for some of you, but if you can make it we'll be glad to have you.
If we get enough 7thgencivic owners to participate this will be a competition / show with prices, trophies, DJ's and all.
Just for 7thgencivics!
But we need at least 70 to 100 cars to register for that to happen.
So, sign up here, now!
More details will follow.
For questions e-mail me at tspro@aol.com

Rep Power: 304 We'll be posting information as we go along, time, place,
room rates etc.
Just want to make sure we got enough people interested.
So we can get volume discounts on room rates, food etc.
Keep posted to this thread for updated info.
Just think,,,
If we plan it so the far north pipps from Canada meet with the pipps from NY and cruise together from there and meet with the pipps on the way down south and cruise to Orlando together
By the time you guys get to Atlanta will have at least 50 cars.
room rates etc.

Rep Power: 304 It took about a month to come out with the date and place.
So this is it!
There is more hotels and resorts in Florida than tourists.
Good deals every were when booked in advance.
Sorry for the guys that live to far away to make it, if is of any cosolation to you I once drove to California for a car show ,
It was fun and a good excuse to get away.
We had camping gear to camp in between cities, and we stayed in Holiday Inns some times $30 p/room divided by two was a good deal
AAA gets 15% or more discount ( if you have it)
I'll post a link later to pre-register.
IT WILL HAPPEN!

Rep Power: 291 Is there a drag strip near where we will be at (Orlando)??? It would be great to hang out at a drag strip seeing a bunch of 7th gen's running. Even better, maybe we could find a dyno shop nearby and give out a trophy for highest HP. I'm just trying to think of other things for us all to do. I don't want to drive all the way down there, hang out with everyone for one day, and then be on our merry way.
Also, as far as maybe having a 7thgencivic.com Tour to Orlando, I am all about doing it. If anyone else wants to help organize this, I'm game. I would LOVE nothing else but to ride down to Orlando (long drive) with 30 other 7th gens...Just a thought. Anyone? Anyone?

Rep Power: 304 Sure feel free to organise your own meet in your home town and cruise together that will be more fun.
Any voluntiers are more than welcome.
We have two strips one in East Orlando, Bithlo, and one on Lakeland about 45min drive to each.
There is a Dyno near by too.
We'll get some activities planned out in advance, if you planning on doing different things, I suggest coming at least two days earlier like on friday or saturday.
I'll be meeting with show organisers to see how we can pull this together.
If not, we'll get a permit to meet someplace fun with food and music just for us and we'll cruise to the beach together.
Keep posted I'll set a pre-registration form to get your info.

Rep Power: 0 Too bad I live in CALI. I love to drive, but I don't think driving loves me.
-ZeLL
P.S. If you're having an award for the person who drove the furthest, I might just think about it... hehehe.

Rep Power: 304 You know, we are doing this with the coolaboration and imput from all of you, all your suggestions are welcome, and we'll use them if ok by most of us.
Zell, we just may do that award, why not, whoever drives that far to be here deserves and award. I'll keep it in mind.
Derek anything to get you to come out, we'll need some help collecting the registration money and recluting more 7thgencivic members.
I'm on the process of finding out the cost and challenges that will make this work.
Any help will be very apreciated.

Rep Power: 0 << May be the next meet can be in Cali. >>
excuse the sarcasm, but gee thanx! golly gee, would i get ice cream too?
anyhoo, driving to florida is a good 7000km round trip, if not more from Vancouver, BC, Canada.
Maybe the next meet could be in Vancouver, so YOU could drive a 7000km round trip. Not to mention, it'd be cheaper for all you americans.

Rep Power: 304 Sorry Tsunami you are too far.
We meet often here in Florida and the suggestion of having a meet for the out of town pipps while school is out on their states came across our south forum from some of the members from NY, Atlanta, Nashville, Houston, San Diego etc.
We are only glad that we can help, and to having them coming all the way down here is a good reason to make it worth their while.
May be if you organize meets in your home town and invite the people on the states closer to you, then you'll be the one organizing the national meet.
Reality is that no one will be able to get all US and Canada members together so the we can only do the best next thing.

Rep Power: 0 supermex.. don't tell me what i SHOULD do.
i'm quite capable of setting up meets here and at one time held the largest meet in North America of 7th generation civics. at the time, that was just 16 cars, but nowhere in the rest of North America was able to accomplish that, during the period that it had happened. Soon enough our fellow canadians out east pulled a 20 car meet.
i really hope your 1st national meet is huge and i give you props for doing alot of work to get it to happen. i do however, suggest knowing who you are talking to and what has gone on, before you tell anyone what they should be doing.
anyhoo.. looks like you could get a good turn out. have fun!
