Hi guys. :)
Im not a real newbie when it comes to cars or Honda's... Im currently
leasing a silver 7thGen civic sedan (value package
) and it's my
commuter/beater. I like the car for wat it is and the very low monthly
payments. What I like best about the VP is the smooth shifting AT.
What I don't like most is the factory seats....just plain uncomfortable.
When I was in highschool back in the late 80's-early 90's, I started out
with a new 90' CivicHB which my dad bought for me, but from there, I
got a used 94 CivicEX coupe, 98 Prelude, 00' CivicHB... on my own.
I work for a Japanese parts manufacturer and do OE business to
business sales in the automotive industry, managing accounts with
General Motors and Delphi Electronics...been in sales about 8years
or so.
Im into modding cars but enjoy driving them around more than anything.
I sold my heavily modded 98 Lude last year and a heavily modded
02 WRX last month... I also sold my lightly modded 01' G20 and a
lightly modded 03 Mazda Protege5. Wife and I are expecting our
first son this month so I need to save up a little for a few years
and therefore slowed down on my car mods.
I current have a modded 03 Cooper-S and the new 04 G35Coupe6MT.
Both are great cars and they are my weekend cars. My wife has a
03Corolla which we've been using to carpool the last couple of months,
but after our son is born Im going to rely heavily on my CivicVP for
the commute.
Since my CivicVP is leased I don't plan on doing mods on it, but
I am sure I will get to enjoy checking out all of your rides!!!

When the weather changes (especially temperaturechange greater than +/-10F) the ECM takes a while to adapt to the new
air's density and poo's out rotten egg smelling exhaust at idle. I first thought
it was the catalytic converter going bad, but after the car runs for about
80-100miles in the same air density the smell goes away.
Was typical of some Fords and InfinitiG20's too.
