Replaced my reverse lights with cree LEDs

Wow what a difference haha. Massive upgrade over stock, even compared to reg LED and big difference. And dont forget these are with 01-03 taillights. They shine through like glass

Got pictures of them?
and how much did ya get them for?

Remember, CREE LEDs run a LOT hotter than regular LEDs.

Re: Replaced my reverse lights with cree LEDs

I have LEDs already for my interior, my plate and my trunk but never thought of doing the reverse lights. We put in some regular 10 watt LEDs and they were a big improvement over the crappy stock bulbs. But then someone mentioned Crees so we put a set in and its night and day difference even over the 10W reg LEDs. Only thing is they arent cheap, $30 for the pair, but itll outlast the car and no more struggling backing out in dark alleys or roads. And comes with 2 year warranty.

How much hotter do they get than reg LEDs? these are noticably brighter than even 10 watt LEDs. But would it be an issue if R lights are ran for seconds at a time? I wouldnt think it to be.

These pics are from someone else online but mine are jut like this. I can get pics of mine tommorow.

Crappy Stock

Cree LEDs 5 watts

Re: Replaced my reverse lights with cree LEDs

Not bad.
Might have to upgrade my LEDs to CREEs as well.

They do tend to get hot if turned on more than a short while, but for reverse lights, as long as you're not trying to reverse a mile down a road, I don't think you'd even run them long enough to get hot.

Re: Replaced my reverse lights with cree LEDs

Stock is crap, cant even light up anything, and could be a risk if other drivers can barely see the light.

Cree are expensive, sure wasnt expecting to pay $30 for R lights but its a one time thing.

Re: Replaced my reverse lights with cree LEDs

Mine are $1 LEDs, and they're super bright, but nowhere near close to a CREE.
I would know, I have a CREE flashlight lol.

Re: Replaced my reverse lights with cree LEDs

I still cant believe i spent $30 on R lights. But i did a test comparing with 10W reg LEDs and there was a big difference.
