Talking Headlight Restoration

Hey guys, I have a quick question about protecting my headlights after a restoration. I recently restored my girl's and my headlights a week ago and was thinking if I need to use some sort of protective coat on them after the restoration. I used the 3M kit then used Meguiar's PlastiX afterwords. If I do need a protective coat, what product should I use? Thanks in advance!!!
