02 Coupe ebay fogs
02 Coupe ebay fogs
Hey,
I'm thinking of installing fogs into my 02 LX Coupe from eBay.. I've just got some questions.
Has anybody got these kind? Are they any good?

I've read lots of DIY threads and stuff on installing fogs, but a lot of them are years old and a lot of the images are broken so I'm just wondering if these are the kind that will work properly in my 02? (I've read that some of them only have a harness that will work in an 01).
Will it be necessary for me to cut holes in my bumper, or do the panels just come out? How hard are they to install?
Thanks a lot

Re: 02 Coupe ebay fogs
They aren't hard to install. The fogs in the link you provided are the right ones. The panels will need to be cut out with a razor or whatever else you find that works. There is a small tab on the other side of the panels that the fog will need to be fastened to. It is pretty easy and if you are wiring them to a switch it's even easier.
Re: 02 Coupe ebay fogs
wiring in a vehicle is the same as wiring in anything else in this case. you need a positive, a ground, a switch, and an inline fuse somewhere between the switch and the positive.
its simple to cut the holes out of your bumper. as long as you measure and do your best to cut the two holes the same, it doesnt matter too too much how sloppy your cut (as long as you dont make too big of a mess) is because the edging/trim of the foglight should cover it up.
once theyre installed you need to run a ground wire from the fog lights straight to the chasis. simple.
then you need to run a positive wire from a positive charge like your battery, through your switch, then to your fog lights. there should also be an inline fuse on the positive wire between the positive charge and the switch but as close as you can get it to the positive end. then its just a matter of finding somewhere to mount your switch. maybe next to your mirror adjustment, cruise control, or sunroof switches if you have room. if not, you can put it next to your cig lighter adapter.
