Retro fit help

Well I am hoping to jump into the retrofit pool and start to actually see the road! I'm hoping to put a TL bi-xenon projector in the OEM headlight. I was hoping people could help me out with this because I am a noob to it and it's gonna be a long journey, but well worth the outcome. Today I started to open up the headlights and I am probably gonna black them out first. Now, if anyone had any suggestions on ballasts, wiring, shrouds feel free to put in your 2 cents!

Re: Retro fit help

your best bet is to go to www.hidplanet.com and do some research for awhile. that's where i learned how to do mine. everything you need to know to do this is over there.

Re: Retro fit help

if you are a noob to this, i would not start off with TL projectors. i actually just tried (and failed) cause they were so big. you can make it fit, but its gonna look totally ugly sitting up against the lens and they dont have shrouds that big so you would have to use an oven cover or dog bowl lol. im still working on finding a smaller projector cause looks are important to me. and i want aiming ability not just stuff it in and hope for the best. good luck. i have a thread about this already search for that for some ideas.

Re: Retro fit help

I was just looking at your thread and I also just saw you thread on HIDplanet. I'm going to do it with the FX projectors I think and most likly change to a celar lens or the TSX lens. I'm just crossing my fingers hoping it wont be too hard

Re: Retro fit help

i've seen TL's installed in 01-03 housings. it didn't look too bad. he made his own shrouds as most people do. what little imperfections you could see up close were masked by the awesome light output.
