Re: fx35(tfx) projectors retrofit ?

i've got TSX projectors in TYC housings and love them. I've got a separate high beam though, so you may want to stick with a bi-xenon. the FX projectors are nice, even without a lens swap. as are the TL's. i don't think it's worth swapping the lens on either one of those with a TSX lens. the TSX lens isn't that much better to justify the cost, unless they're free or you already have them laying around. the only way to make TL's better is to get the ZKW lens to put on there. but then you're talking huge $$$$$$.

i'm still learning this projector retro fitting stuff but i've seen ppl on hidplanet with fx35 with tsx lens thats why i ask if they fit. i also want high beams.

i don't really understand about the bi-xenon can you plz explain about it.

which of the 3 would be good to retro fit considering $$$, level of installing, and time; it's my only car i have.

thanx for your replies

bi-xenon is a low and high beam in the same projector. you can read up on them over at hidplanet. i'd just get the plain bi-xenon fx projector and call it good. a lens swap isn't going to get you that much more. either way, buy an extra set of headlights to do the retro. you're not going to be able to do it in a day or even over a weekend. it took me 2 months for mine. even good installers will take a week or more by the time you let the JB Weld dry overnight each time.

yeah i might as well buy new headlights mine are turning yellowish already. so if i go with the bi-xenon fx projector could i use 7thgeneraisian diy to do the retro or would it be alot more difficult to fit those in

Re: fx35(tfx) projectors retrofit ?

it will be about the same...the only difference is that TSX is wider and longer....FX will only be taller than TSX....since the housing is large enough for both projectors, it will be very close in terms of work...

I have FX retro in my coupe...let me know if you need help...
its not worth the money to get other lenses for the FX IMO..you might buy the TL and stick with it...FX will cost around $70-80 and lenses will be at least $50...you can buy TL for under $200 but then again its my opinion...
