Interior lights
I'm looking to swap out my map lights and dome light with some bulbs that give a cleaner white and not the yellowish halogen look they have now. Found the map lights by PIAA and some other guys, but the dome light I cant find except on ebay in LED form. Suggestions on products offered by companies would be great!
I have attached the pics of the bulbs I took out. Small bulb is for the map lights, and the long bulb is for the map light.
Markings:
Small bulb: A12V8W
Long bulb: TS 578

TheMoogly- Pics? I've been bugging everyone for pics, but with all the digital cameras sold these days, one never seems to make it to a civic owner. Go figure. Btw, what have u in the dome light- stock... doesnt the color dif from up front kinda **** ya off?

i just bought new interior lights also, i bought a blue led for the back and 1 for the front. and 2 superwhite ones for the map reading lights. go to www.superbrightleds.com they have all interior lights

I am interested in the superbrightleds.com stuff... is the cool white bright enough to read? What are the stock bulb numbers for the map lights, dome and rear dome?
I have LED "white"christmas lights, and they look pretty blue... but I never tried reading with just the one light on... LOL. I tried searching but no one seems to care about dome lights anymore. Mine are just so old and dim its annoying and my rear stopped working.

I ended up putting one of thoes 12v8w bulbs in for my dome, and its pretty bright. The problem with our main domelight is that the bulb is very long, and apparently very rare (at least for non stockers). Just bend the prings together a little and it will hold one of the smaller 12v8w bulbs that I have pictured up there- the ones with the pointy ends. These are the same bulbs that go in the map lights up front in my LX (no sunroof). I cant remember if the sunroof'd bulbs are the same or not.
But as far as the bulbs I went with.. they were marketed as superwhite's... but they are super blue if you ask me. Lame. I'm going to switch back to stockers once I can find them in my big engine mess in the garage back home.
