HID's do not fit
I just recently bought some HID's from the guys (on www.hondacivicforum.com) who did group buy on the 5th Gen McCulloch and they do not fit. These are the H4 bulbs, however, I bought the hi/lo beam kit which adds a whole mess of parts which cause it to be too long for the housing. I'm wondering if I can modify these to fit safely, or should I ask for a refund (for the extra amount paid for the high beam) and get the standard low beam?
Has anyone run into this problem?

Those things looks like crap.
I had Hi/Lo H4 HIDs before and I can tell you that the McColluchs look like they've been engineered by drunk monkeys.
A decently engineered Ho/Lo kit should look like it's low beam only counterpart with maybe a slightly larger base to house the servo that slides the filament back and forth.
If I can find my members ride page I'd be able to show you what my Bellofs look like.

I figured out two ways to make it work. The easiest way (and the way I have them mounted right now) is to use some force. The piece in the headlight flexes just a bit to allow the bulb in. After that, you can clip the wire in place and it holds.
The other option is to get rid of the black plastic piece at the top. This piece is completely covered by that 'cup' in the headlight, so I don't see its purpose. You have to leave the two wire posts attached as they act as sliders for the high beam mechanism.
These things look great and I'm happy I went with the high/low beam kit. I couldn't stand not having highs. I realize that the HID's are much brighter than Halogen, but highs are generally "brighter" becaused they are aimed higher.

Actually, in person, they're pretty decent. No, it's not like a projector made for HID's, but I'm satisfied with them as a plug-n-play kit. I do have to remove the wheel and the fender lining and find a good place to mount everything. I'm going for a clean look, basically trying to make everything look stock.
I initially hooked up just one side to compare and it's a huge difference, as I expected. I held my hand in front of the lights and the HID's were cool while the Halogen's were toasty. I may put a stock one back in to show the difference.
